Excellent baby monitor, but still needs more work

This is overall a great unit. It replaced my Fisher Price monitors and First Year Monitors. Its a terrific unit, with these highlights:
- Terrific sound quality and range. Definitely the pick of the litter and replaces all other units.
- I love the feature of sound sensitivity. Our last unit would pick up ever little sound. This one just picks up the sound when our daughter gets really upset and cries.
- Accessories. More flexibility for you if you want belt clips or lanyards to carry these.

These are the caveats that Philips stills needs to improve.
- Build quality of the plastic seems low. It actually feels like the same as my Apple Mighty Mouse, but I guess the mouse weighs more so it feels of higher quarability.
- Batteries. If you follow the instructions on first charging the units, you have no problems. I have read other comments about them and made sure to fully charge and discharge my units 4 times before even thinking about taking them offline. I havent had any trouble since then.
- Can you add more Parentel units than just the two? Philips’ website and documentation isn’t very clear on this. I think you can, but I can’t purchase a Parental unit seperately. Please Philips give us the option as I want a unit in a few more rooms!

Overall, highly recommended product and is worth the extra money though.

This product is holding up well after 3 years of use and is well worth the cost to protect our car seats. I’ve used it to cover three different seats (all various sizes and shapes and brands) and the seat always fits inside. Its also stood up to rough handling from the airlines with minimal damage (a little scuffing on the fabric). When not in use it doesn’t fold perfectly flat, however, the seams are a bit stiff, as is the fabric - just a note if storage is an issue.We used this product once which was wonderful while the strap lasted. On our way back home from vacation the strap broke in the airport before we even made it to check our luggage. The size is great, but the one over the shoulder or across the chest strap is a loss. Two shoulder straps would probably have made this bag much more efficient and durable. Maybe they will come out with a new and improved bag.
